We have long been fans of the concept of the blind prophet--the loss of sight bringing a wealth of insight. This idea is seen across mythological sources from the Stygian Witches of Greek mythology to the story of how Odin sacrificed an eye to learn the magic of runes. In the end, a seer may simply be someone who can choose to ignore the things that distract the rest of us from the Truth.
